It wasn't anything brilliant and felt cast carried it all the way through because it lacked a little..

"Jungleland" is not a film with elaborate narrative or ambitiously constructed characters. It's a film about a form of survival. "...they wind up wounded, not even dead," reads the lyrics of the Springsteen song. This attitude towards a life that only hits is reflected in the brothers, two wounded animals. And this sense of vital languor is well built, although in the end it seems to turn into something different.

Ambles along without every delivering a knockout punch. The actors are great, however, and the story is not without merit. But it never engages as it should, partly because of the downbeat feel that permeates throughout the film.

could've benefited from a more tightly polished screenplay i think? but also i'm a plebe and i just like the cast. they all did great jobs with their roles, the movie itself just felt a little hollow - and not because of the themes, necessarily. still a solid film given the awesome cast! and after watching lovecraft country majors was such a delight to see.

If, like me, you watch this because you loved Sons Of Anarchy I think you will be very disappointed. This is a dull, depressing movie that at only 1 hour 30 minutes still feels too long. I think I would describe this as a feel bad movie!

Gritty stuff w good performances. It does drag in some parts, but that's by design. It's a slog of an existence for these folks. Good enough to recommend a solitary viewing if you've read the synopsis and it feels like your type of flick. 6.4

Half of me calls this dull and depressing, the other half calls it real and honest.

I’ve never been much of a fan of Charlie Hunnam but I liked his performance here. The rest of the cast was good, and the story was interesting but not terribly well executed.

Like others said, it did roam aimlessly for most of it, but the redeeming part of the movie was the relationship between the brothers.
