After falling from the Twin Towers, Kong lies in a coma for ten years. When his heart begins to fail, scientists engineer an artificial heart, and a giant female ape is captured to serve as a source for a blood transfusion. When Kong awakens following his heart transplant, he senses the nearby presence of the female ape and the two escape to wreak havoc together.

Notoriously bad movie, though not a lot worse than it's 1976 predecessor. Not as awful as I expected, though it's reliably cheesy and the special effects are variable. The biggest crime is the lack of imagination, and stretching the King Kong story to a stupid level.

The King lives in this trumped up sequel to the 1976 remake of King Kong. After being kept on life support for ten years scientists resurrect Kong with a blood transfusion from a second giant ape, who he then breaks out of captivity and runs off with. The script is ridiculously bad and is full of clichés. Linda Hamilton leads the cast, but the performances are all terrible. There are however, some fun action scenes as Kong wrecks shop. A poorly made B-horror film, King Kong Lives is an atrocious mess that’s unworthy of the King.

Kong should have stayed dead. At least as far as this pointless sequel is concerned. The movie takes ages to get going. Who watches "King Kong" movies to see unintentionally funny ape operations?
