“Don’t feel bad about losing your virtue. I sort of knew you would. Everybody always does.
- Bree Daniel

Another well shot and choreographed film by Mr. Pakula. It had a very creepy vibe throughout. Story just felt a little choppy, felt like there were gaps. Overall enjoyable watch.

An explanation for the cat food spoon lick would go a long way.

Don’t know why this was called Klute, because this movie was owned top to bottom by Jane Fonda’s Bree. Raw, mature, assured–it’s a fantastic performance and I was glad to see she won the Oscar. It didn’t feel like it quite succeeded as a thriller, I think partially because it didn’t feel like it conjured an atmosphere of danger. There were some strange POV shots of the bad guy, which then aligns the viewer with him rather than with the woman in danger. There were some more effective moments–creepy phone calls and the like–but I think better suspense can be found in other neo-noirs of the era. Still, I’d recommend it for Fonda alone.

This movie was kiiiiiinda dull. I like it and its moody and all that good stuff. Just a bit dull sometimes. But also....Jane Fonda is so sexy in this movie. Soooo sexy. And with a crazy mullet too. Just rockin it. Also....Why wasn't her name Klute?! Way cooler. I was shocked when I realized that was Sutherland's name and not hers.

Really good movie with Donald Sutherland and Jane Fonda about a call girl who is threatened by an unknown John and the quest to discover this mystery man. The movie is quiet but takes some unexpected turns that keeps the viewer engaged. I was happy to watch this movie…. A great gem not in the trending list. Would be nice to find these types of movies more easily.
