How can people hate Tom Cruise? He makes really enjoyable, well-done action films. Every Friday night for a year could be taken up by a Tom Cruise movie and that'd be a perfectly enjoyable year.

His films range from 6.75 to 8.5 on the ratings, never higher, never lower.

Most of them are very good 7.5s to 8s. The guy is a genuine movie star and he certainly puts the effort in to make the films as good as he can.

This one is interesting. It's a MI movie that he wanted to make comedic. And it works for the whole.

I know it was panned at the time, and I know Cameron Diaz's character isn't doing much for the advancement of women. But it's a really enjoyable 1 lhr 45.

Started off really funny and all in all was a really pleasant movie.
Each time I saw Tom Cruise topless I puked in my mouth a little, though.

This fits with right in with those espionage romcoms that got popular around that time. Most of those films are completely forgettable and bland, but this is slightly better than average because of Cruise’s skill as an action star and Mangold’s direction. The camerawork is very run of the mill, but the score occasionally adds an interesting touch. The set pieces are decent (too much obvious CGI, but also way better than what’s needed for a movie like this), while on the other hand the romcom stuff is a lot more predictable and boring. Diaz and Cruise are fine, and while they have some alright chemistry, their interactions could’ve used punchier, meaner dialogue. The plot’s as much of an afterthought as you’d expect, though it does a good job at avoiding the biggest cliches. Look, it’s Mangold having fun, and occasionally I had fun with him. However, ultimately it’s too formulaic and cutting a lot of corners creatively.

I think I'm just not a fan of Cameron Diaz (or her genre romance or comedy) but I like Tom Cruise. It's an easy watch, but not that special. I actually love that scene [spoiler] where the plane takes a turn and the bodies hang out into the pathway [/spoiler], it always cracks me up. But that's the highlight of the movie. And especially the further it gets, it's just a bit over the top for me. 6.5/10

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz star in the action comedy _Knight and Day_. On her way to her sister’s wedding, June Havens has her world turned upside down when she crosses paths with a secret agent. The action’s pretty good and gives the film a lot of energy. The comedy however, is a little overdone; as the clever satire starts to become farcical after a while. Also, there are times when the score undercuts some of the energy of the action scenes. Still, _Knight and Day_ is a fun and entertaining film full of thrills, as well as laughs.

Fair movie to spend your time nothing special. 6.3/10

Cringiest movie I've ever seen. in a good way

i really went into this to make use of my amazon prime membership but holy heck it was enjoyable! cameron and tom worked really well together! so much fun!

A usual action comedy. There wasn't anything original here but it was funny in parts. I don't think however that Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were the best team up that there could have been. I think there was just a little something missing when it came to in screen chemistry.c

Sem Tom Cruise, sem Cameron Diaz nem a nagy kedvenceim, de ebben a filmben ütnek rendesen (és nem csak szószerint :D). A kémia közöttünk nagyon jó volt. A sztori humoros, pörgős. Én nagyon bírtam. Tipikusan az a kedvenc filmem, amit megtudnék nézni ezerszer.

My better half is an avid Tom Cruise fan, and she hadn't seen Knight and Day since we watched it in the cinemas at release, so we watched it again tonight.

Still funny, and still filled with action. The story is as incoherent as any action comedy, but in this, it works.

Not really great art, but still worth the time in my book.

Don't understand the hate this one seems to get. Is it a perfect movie? No.

Is it a fun movie? Hell yes. Not everything has to be a magnificent cinematic achievement. Sometimes it's nice to have a movie to just vege out in front of and have a laugh. This definitely delivers that.
