As cheesy and campy as this movie is, it's so much so that you can't help but get wrapped up in nostalgia. From the characters, to the outrageous and over the top 80's effects this movie is perfect for a laugh. This is not going to be for everyone, but at only 30 minutes long it's worth the quick laughs!

Should have stayed short if anything. They tryhard at tryharding. It's so over the top it's just boring and Axe Cop is already doing the same thing anyways. You might enjoy this if you have nostalgia goggles glued to your face and are okey with just 30 minutes of "wow - so random - '80s!!!".

It becomes a little repetitive, they keep doing almost the same during the sort. A 15-20 minutes length would've been perfect.

An ode to the 80s. Funny stupidity in a short-film package. Try and find all the nods to 80s action movies, arcade games, and cartoons.

I've never understood the rampant caricaturization of 1980s film. The 1980s were a great decade for film. But "corny" and "quirky" nods to the Back II the Futures and the Terminator 2's of the decade seem like an insult to the decade's serious accomplishments, and Kung Fury is an honest attempt to be crowned king of these. It reminds me of Snow Crash, the novel by Neal Stephenson, except Snow Crash has two fanbases: One, which sees it as an angry parody of the film-and-television caricatures of cyberpunk that had become more popular since Gibson and Sterling. And two, the group of "nostalgic" fans who didn't realize it was a parody in the first place, and enjoy everything that Snow Crash puts on burn notice. Except Kung Fury has nothing to parallel the former-- It's an honest love letter to the worst things in a decade of film. I apologize for being no fun, but I wasted my time here.

**Kung Fury**, a short film that never fails to make me laugh.
With ingenious dialogues, great animations and endless action, you can experience an odyssey through Miami in 1985. Or when else?
The look totally fits the film.
Before I saw the movie, I broke all the records in the game and I asked myself, 'What should a movie about this game look like?!'
But I have to say that compared to many other movies based on games, Kung Fury is more than close to its origin.

>Did anyone ever tell you not ot hassle the Hoff 9000?

In every scene, in every moment, many things happen. You should really be prepared for the 30 minutes and get involved with the short film. It's the third time I've seen it and I still have to laugh again and again.

Not for everyone. I loved tearing it apart as well as having nostalgic moments. Super weirdly random and small details in the most random bits ... Take a look and have a laugh.
