At some points it is absurdly silly to the point where it is kind of annoying, but there are far more parts that are extremely touching and beautiful. Jennifer Connelly is one of the greatest actresses of all time and she carries this movie, even though she's only 16 years old.

Fun and creative story that is ruined by David Bowie's weak acting and terrible song composition, felt like an 80's disco not a theatrical soundtrack and it really breaks you out of the immersion so we can all make sure we're getting more Bowie. Suppose people loved this at the time, kinda like ed Sheeran appearing in GoT

Great memories watching this on repeat as a kid, as much as I love the memories I have better connections with other films, and enjoy them more than this one looking back. Still a good watch though even today.

Hard to believe that some critics, like Roger Ebert. Didn’t like this movie. It’s an imaginative Alice in Wonderland meets Oz, like movie.
With Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie in great form.

A whimsical adventure through the land of goblins and goblin kings. Henson and company add a level of zaniness that no one else could have accomplished. That said, the songs and acts in this are really the hardest parts to sit through. It really hasn't aged too well.

Labyrinth is a bizarre and surreal fantasy tale from writer/director Jim Henson. In the film a young girl slips into a dreamlike world and must navigate a labyrinth that confronts her with her innermost demons. Jennifer Connelly gives a strong performance and interacts seamlessly with the puppet characters. However, it's David Bowie's inspired performance as the Goblin King that's most captivating. Aside from acting, David Bowie also wrote and performed several songs for the film that are absolutely spellbinding. There are some issues with the storytelling, but the puppetry is amazing. Even with its flaws, Labyrinth is an exceptionally imaginative and creative film that's a lot of fun.

Better than I thought it would be. A standard story but visually very good.

The effects don't quite hold up at all, but they have a certain charm to them. It's an over the top, but imaginative fantasy. The songs don't quite hold up for me either, But there's enough creativity to make this fairytale worth it.

100% my favourite movie of all time. David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly were the perfect people to cast for the movie. it has good music (how could it not with Bowie being involved) and has a good amount of humorous moments. Also have to love the unique set design and puppet designs used throughout the movie, Brian Froud never ceases to amaze.

I remember bits and pieces of this one from childhood. It was a fun watch, especially watching my 2 year old have his attention on it at times.
