I'll start by saying that I am not a "car guy." I don't care about Lamborghini; the man or the vehicle.
That being said, the movie held my attention the entire time, which is a testament to how good it was.
Was it amazing? No, not at all. This is a character study, and Ferruccio was interesting enough that I was invested throughout.
A quick reading over other reviews show that people were shocked a movie titled _Lamborghini_ was about the human himself. I can only stare blankly. What did you want, ninety minutes of a camera pointed at a car? Of course it's going to be about the man's life.
As for his life, this is a period piece that takes us through his life from a farmer's son, to building a tractor, to building a company, to building a car.
The two main problems here are that we never get a full glimpse of Ferruccio's family life; we just see the worst moments, which don't make sense out of context. Secondly, the ending: there isn't one. The movie just ends.
Perhaps an issue a movie like this will have is that people who love cars only associate with cars, not the maker. Whereas, if you love Elton John's music, you can still enjoy _Rocketman_, since the man has a direct tie to the listener.
Back to where I started: not a "car guy," no, I'm a movie fan. I like drama. I like character studies. I liked this.
