An entertaining movie with a bad ending.
Not bad at all, it's just that a much-feared mind gets defeated so easily... And Foxx should take care of some details. It's fair an attorney can walk as a rapper but loses some credibility.
This is a very visually pleasing movie, as I think it's visually filmed really nicely, and I quite liked the dialogue and Jamie Foxx. I'd also say the path Clyde took in the movie I didn't expect at all. However, once the 30 minute mark hits, the rest of the movie begins to be a bit overdone with Clyde's message and abilities to the point where it's verging on the ridiculous and impossible. So while this movie was technically well made in my opinion, the storyline didn't do it for me at all, which makes this more of a sort of trashy fun movie and not the intriguing film it's trying to be.

Gerard Butler plays the very convincing villain here. However, his expertise is a bit over-done. Still loved the movie though for all its original antics.

Pretty good movie with one of the most unsatisfying endings I've ever seen. What a waste.

0/10 for the movie's politics
10/10 for being an insane reactionary fever dream of so-bad-its-amazing farfetched godlike contrivances

Gerard Butler stars as Jigsaw by way of Payback

"I'm just getting started. I'm gonna pull the whole thing down. I gonna bring the whole fuckin' diseased corrupt temple down on your heads. It's gonna be Biblical"

Law Abiding Citizen is still a enjoyable thriller with some horror like kills. It isn't as impressive as when I first saw it when I was a young 20 year old and thought this movie was the shit. But I can still see why I thought it back then. At least I'm happy it hold up for me. I still enjoyed watching it.

However, I think the idea is good but they way that just made everyone an asshole is kind of a let down. The ending doesn't feel well for Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) and they never showed us why suddenly after 10 years Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) wants to take action against the people who messed up. And damn if you go into this blind you don't expect such a brutal opening.

Anyway, the logic might not all be there but to start off the weekend it is a enjoyable thriller.

_Law Abiding Citizen_ has an intense and outstanding plot. The movie has an almost _Silence of the Lambs_ feel to it, with its dark themes and tense atmosphere. The action scenes are well-executed, and the plot twists keep you guessing until the very end. The performances by Foxx and Butler are outstanding, and the plot is both engaging and thought-provoking. If you're a fan of movies like _Silence of the Lambs_ and _Seven_, then _Law Abiding Citizen_ is definitely worth your time.

Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx create some really good moments of suspense together. Unlike a lot of other films within the >revenge genre< _Law Abiding Citizen_ tries to say something new, but in the end I'm just not sure that what it says is intelligible.

Film with an intriguing plot that awakens diverse sensations regarding the attitudes of each protagonist. Clyde is a man who has witnessed the death of his whole family in a cruel way and that even if he does justice with his own hands probably had no more appreciation for his own life, it is difficult to imagine him in a beautiful happy ending on a Caribbean beach fishing and smiling as some imagine it has to be.

A lot of people are saying horrible ending but I honestly think it was a proper ending despite the “hero” dying it made sense for it to end that way and nick to finally understand what being a good dad and a good DA are, from some guy going crazy and killing all of his co-workers. This movie was very full circle development

An enjoyable piece of ridiculousness if you can overlook glaring plot holes, inconsistencies and above all that ending...

7/10 if you stop the film before the last 15 minutes or so

5/10 if you don't
