Let me tell you why this one is so much dumber than the original. First off, in the first one, Jobe made the billion phones ring all at once like he said he would, meaning he was already infiltrated into the internet. So, we come to the beginning of the second one, where they "resuscitate" jobe. Well, if you saw his body in the first one, it was ash... how do you resuscitate ash? Next, he protected Peter all the way to the end of the first one. Yet in the second one, he doesn't care about Peter's life from the get go? Makes sense. The most obvious is that Jobe isn't even the same person for the second one, i mean doesn't even look remotely like the guy from the original. They cover this in the beginning by stating that they had to reconstruct his face, yada, but that doesn't make up for the fact that this dude is like half the size of the original Jobe.
