I never realized it until now, but this is one of my favorite movies of all time. This is Anytown, USA. We've all seen these schools and some of us have been to them. Unfortunately, not all of them have Morgan Freeman to clean it up.

**Rest in peace - In honor of Joe Clark**

Coming from a teacher family, this movie hit me on a lot of levels. The opening scene where it shows how bad things have gotten has reminded me of what is going on these days, and I think with some willingness to help and with some discipline (key word), things can get better. Subtracting half a star because I found out my favorite scene in the movie never happened in real life. The rest is pretty true though.

Maybe it is because I had a teacher that was very much like Joe Clark, or maybe it is because I think just like these kinds of stories, but Lean On Me is one of my favourite movies from "way-back-when" and still gives me that warm fuzzy feeling when watching. Recommended to anyone that likes biographical films.
