A hidden gem in the found footage category. No stupid glitched digital effects, no dumb screaming as the camera knocks over. No terrible CGI and no cheap Halloween costume. This isn't the greatest movie, as the ending will certainly be polarizing, but it really brings you in. The feeling of dread and mystery inches up throughout the entire movie. The lead actor is really the star, he plays average unhinged joe perfectly! This movie is almost as good as 2014's Creep, which is high praise from me, and with quite obviously little to no budget. Check this out!

This movie is definitely creepy in parts. The setting is awesome and the haunting is delightfully eerie. Where it fails is mainly in the sloppy, hamfisted way it bludgeons its own story. Mark - who is a total weirdo and not someone I feel sympathy for - won't shut the fuck up and basically narrates the entire thing. You can follow the movie just by listening to him talk, and what he says is not the least bit interesting because the character has all the personality of a soggy paper towel.

Like finishing the appetizer and realizing it was the main course.

This micro-budget, 80-minute found footage film fails to ramp up interest in the character or his situation (a man moves to the country after leaving DC and is confronted by mysterious happenings), but prefers instead to maintain a monotone narrative arc with an unsatisfying non-ending.
