Another great performance by Forest.

During the past month I've made a point to see all the movies nominated for the Academy Awards, Best Picture. Tonight, I am absolutely heartbroken that this wonderful movie received not a single nomination in any category. I tis just tragic!

This fantastic movie should have at least(!) received nominations for Best Picture, Best Makeup and Best Actor (Forest Whittaker).

A little obvious an in your face. An opportunity missed. Could have been a fantastic film with a slightly more subtle director.

Watching the trailers at cinema I thought that it was shamelessly made for the Oscars, but I sense it lacked something, nevertheless it is good. Very pro-USA, of course.

This is a great movie, so why not a 10? Way, way too many gross historical inaccuracies, on purpose to supposedly make the storyline better. These aren't parts where they're ad-libbing areas they could've know the actual dialogue, but where they have made up an extra son and inaccurately depict Reagan's meeting with the Senators.

There was one son. He did not die in Vietnam. He was not a Black Panther. He did not run for Congress. He may have been a Freedom Fighter but there's no public claims he was..

The mother/wife was not an alcoholic or ever have an affair.

The story could've been great just on the actual facts. I was tempted to give it a lower score since it has so many discrepancies from the truth as to not really be based on a true story but inspired by one. However, the acting was so phenomenal, every character, that it's still a wonderful film.

-2 for falsifying where it wasn't necessary. Could've been a 10 if it has remained factually accurate.

Great movie about civil right movement in the US!

This movie made me cry.

Si no fuese tan tibia, uno podría pasar por alto la escena ordinaria del Ku Klux Klan y que dejaran como terroristas a los negros luchadores para después dejarlos como héroes una vez que el mambo ya había pasado, pero como todos los errores de esta película es porque la hueá es entera de tibia, there you go. Igual tiene aciertos, igual se deja ver, igual es digna. David Oyelowo :)

Emotional.

I cannot believe anyone ever used to treat black people like this, just because they are black! I am not for violence, but some of these whites deserve a good slap in the face. I felt so much indignation and sympathy during the movie. I can't believe the world used to be like that.

One of the best movies ever. Great performances, great history, and spectacular BSO. Simply PERFECT.

Somewhere feigned and superficial, but still it's one of the good ones.
