I watched it after reading that it was a feminist movie. It's way better than I expected (though the french voices are awful) even if the scenario is really obvious. It's sweet and just what I needed in a bad time of my depression.
The bad point for me was the cliché of homosexual people.

I watched this after I saw an article about it's feminism which I found really empowering. I was disappointed how Elle worked so hard for a boy that clearly didn't deserve her but after a while I realised that this was a pivotal plot point to show her journey as a character. I think it communicated great messages especially about how everyone should be taken seriously in their goals and that everyone's interests are important and everyone has something to offer. It's far from free of cliches but that doesn't take away it's position as a great film for empowerment.

last March 27 (who are now my movie night friends xDD) for our movie critique through feminist approach activity aND I COMPLETELY FORGOT THAT WE WERE WATCHING IT FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES BECAUSE IT WAS SO ENGAGING AND ABSORBING !!!!

What a great performance by Reese Witherspoon as this film follows a young blonde sorority girl who applies and gets into Harvard law school just to attempt to win her ex-boyfriend back, but in turn instead discovers her talent for practicing law. The plot development is smooth as well as the character development. Its funny and relatable and sends a good message of "looks aren't everything."

A movie to watch to get inspiration for becoming lawyer.

This movie is just fun. Its not one i come back to super often, but the musical holds a special place in my heart. Elle woods is an absolute icon, and even 20 years later this movie feels so relevant and empowering.

A quite enjoyable comedy with one of Reese Witherspoon's better roles.

I absolutely love when she realized that that guy was a total self centered and selfish person and he did not deserve her. She went to Harvard Law to impress him, but then she continued for herself and she shined!!! This movie gives such a confidence boost and has nice vibes. I love it!!

I avoided this movie my whole life because I thought it was going to be horrible. Boy, was I surprised and delighted by this. It reminded me of Clueless, and I think it is up there with one of Reese's best performances

Why does this shit show have sequels!!!!!!

It was full of charm and wit. The whole story is just fun and all the characters play their part so well. The film is just a happy treasure.

Not sure why people keep saying it's a feminist movie. Just a very nice watch, that (at least for me) put a smile one my face.

Reese Witherspoon is fun and makes this movie decent.

This movie is more laughable than funny, and enjoyment can still be found in a laughable movie and this movie is enjoyable at times but it's also kinda stupid. Also not realistic what so ever and during the trial scene {spoliler} the perosn being questioned got caught in one lie and just fessed up right away and said she was really trying to kill someone else it was just laughable not any of the charcters in this movie are even likeable I mean kinda but not completely it's just a mess I don't typically find myself thinking I wasted my time when I watch a movie but I wasted my time.

I love this movie!!! It's very fun and is also perfect to encourage people who think they are not capable.

It took me 17 years to finally watch this and it was ok. I didn’t expect much and was neither disappointed nor amazed. Story is like any other movie from back then and execution is fine as well - they didn’t pick the most convincing support actors but it’s fine.

I really enjoyed the second half of this film. Legally Blonde, A Feminist Icon.

Love this movie. Can a movie be pink? This one is! And Reese Witherspoon has got to be the pinkest Lady ever! A feel-good movie to watch again and again and again!

not sure what to think, its pretty outdated and on the verge of being sexist, yes considering the plot. But the second part towards the end it go better, a little too theatrical for me (and Im just more into dark movies). Also unsure how I feel about her solving the case, again with something "girlie" instead of actual law stuff, sure it fits the character but it would've been more impressing & "powerful" if she did it with a "normal" tactic, I mean I get the point but it feels like she's still put into that girl who only knows about makeup and nails box idk..
