The best bit of the movie is where he says that certain magical word that starts with an N. He makes the point that banning the word is what gives it it's power. Truer words were never spoken. The movie is not recommended for casual fans, in fact I watched it more to be educated on the man and his times. I support anyone that is intelligent and throws a middle finger to the cultists mob of their time. Sam Kinison is still my king but you never know what he become after all these years had he lived this long, I didn't expect Howard Stern would become the embarrassment he became.

This biopic should be required viewing for letterboxd moderators. Something 50 years old is still so relevant. The biggest difference between then and now is the censorship THEN was right wing done in the name of family's being offended. The censorship NOW is left wing done in the name of "certain" individuals being offended.

Censorship seems to be done with the idea of the ends justifying the means. They don't. Regardless of party or political identity, censoring what adults can read see or hear is disgusting and should be rejected on every level.
