In a Better World

Like telling a kid not to stick toys up his nose because they'll get stuck and then he sticks toys up his nose and they get stuck. This is a story of a man who everyone tells not to fuck around or he'll find out but then he fucks around and finds out. David says he wants to help undocumented immigrants who cross the border from Italy into France, but when his girlfriend tells him how to do it so she doesn't lose her kids and experts tell him how to do it so he doesn't hurt their organization and his friend tells him how to do it so he doesn't get arrested he ignores them all and fucks around and is angry when he finds out. Les Engagés is a movie that thinks it's about the plight of undocumented immigrants but is really just about a guy who cares more about himself than the cause he claims to combat for.
