Very slow at the beginning then horrible by the time things escalate. why would they do such a movie portraying such horrible mentally ill beings? We don't need that.

I have always been a big fan of Kevin Costner but I’m afraid I found this movie to be absolute crap. The plot, the script and oh my God the acting. Unbelievably terrible. It is not something I would expect Kevin Costner to allow his reputation be connected to.

And the rest of the cast, I’m sorry folks but for me it was a disaster. The best actor was Peter’s horse.

That was a decent film and hit the emotions with some classic actors that all did well in their roles.

An average movie. If you do not see, you will not miss anything. There are better options, choose them

Went to see this with my wife over the weekend. It was a good movie overall but it was extremely slow. My wife liked it and cried so if you're into that kind of stuff this one is for you.

Clearly everyone saying this movie is bad has no taste in good movies whatsoever. The movie carried weight and momentum from beginning to end. Maybe I enjoyed the movie more cuz I went into it not even watching a trailer or knowing anything about it, but it worked. The relationship between Diane Lane and Kevin Costner sold the entire film for me. Would definitely recommend for a mellow evening home with a glass of wine and curled up next to your SG. 8/10

I expected more from this movie, it had potential to be more of a gripping story but failed to grab hold of me.

To me, too many loose ends left this story incomplete and I was left disappointed in the end.

At least STRAWBERRY was speared having not to suffer from this slow film.

I didn't expect much after reading reviews and comments. I was surprised just how good it was. I was enthralled throughout the movie, from start to finish.

It may not have been groundbreaking but I very much enjoyed the cinematography, the story and especially Diane Lane's performance. Really enjoyable.

People on here are saying this movie was slow! This isn't the case at all. Sure, it's not an action-packed revenge thriller, but it never loses momentum. Yes, it takes its time, but nearly every moment here is compelling, and I never lost interest once. It's a good film, with impeccable acting from Costner and Lane, and a dark plot that is at once sad and faintly horrific. Recommended!

>"Sometimes that's all life is, Margaret. The list of what we've lost."

There are some moments of frustration in this movie, but something tells me that is just how some of the characters are written. That being said, the chemistry that Kevin Costner and Diane Lane have in this movie is great. Back at it again since Man of Steel and they are who I want to be when I grow old: Wholesome, do-the-right-thing type of people.
