Still love all 4 of them, can re-watch it many times, despite some weak parts. Good old times! They don't make movies like this anymore.

“Lethal Weapon 4” is not as terrible as LW3, but not nearly as good as LW2. It’s undoubtedly the fattest in terms of action and special effects though, no surprise it had twice the budget (that shark though). The idea of having Riggs and Murtaugh fight the Triad is actually a good one: the martial arts brought some fresh air into the franchise as our favorite buddies already shoot the shit out of anything shootable in the previous films. It’s very American in the ideology and very ’90s in the sentimentality, yet I found it a discretely fun action blockbuster that gives a heartfelt closure to a franchise that grew stale pretty fast. Riggs used to be the absolute protagonist, but as he is getting too old for this shit he now needs more help from the family. This results in a warmer and more choral film than usual. I have to say that the sax got a bit too low in the mix, though.

Chris Rock ruined this movie for me. Just could not enjoy it with his over the top (not even close to being funny) antics. Awful!

Not good as much as first and second movie but equal to third movie. Finishing the series with this movie is right choice.

Lethal Weapon 4 goes to the well once again and serves up another pointless action film. In this installment Riggs and Murtaugh stumble across a human trafficking operation that leads to the Chinese Triad. Gibson and Glover return, along with Pesci and Russo. Plus, Chris Rock is added to the mix for some extra comedy, and Jet Li takes the reigns as the new villain. Yet, the film stays true to form and delivers more over-the-top action and the same tired old jokes. There’s nothing especially bad Lethal Weapon 4 (except maybe the heavy handing moralizing), but the series has worn itself out.

Well, its OK, but I think the addition of Cole and Butter as main characters (or at least of more than solely support actors) seems unnecessary to me! Getz is annoying enough, there is no need for another two of them...
But over all its 2 hours of fun and entertainment, thats it. Unfortunately there isn't much that would compel you to watch LW4 again and again.

This one was a bit lazy and silly. Disappointing from start to finish. I love Riggs and Murtaugh but in this one I almost rooted for the bad guys.

This movie is an example of why there are so many trilogies. While on paper it's got everything, and tries to tie up loose ends, every step of the way this movie felt like it was a studio exec saying... "We'll keep turning them out until we stop making money" rather than having a compelling story to tell, and the actors and Donner really give it their all to make it work. Good, but not the best.
