This review contains end of film spoilers so do be warned.

I was pleasantly surprised with this film, a very unique story that I sympathized with and was incredibly invested in. Now I didn't read the synopsis or anything before watching this, so everything was a surprise to me, everything... Nothing hit harder than the realization that their friends had died, leaving a 1 year old baby girl parent less... It's heartbreaking.

Now the relationship between Holly and Messer was perfectly portrayed by the actors and very believable. The progression of the relationship was also believable and I was really rooting for those guys from the get go. It was also really nice to see how Sophie brought the best out of both of them, and I definitely caught a bit of baby fever off of this film.

However, every film has its downsides. Whilst this was a unique story I've never encountered in any form of media before, it was still packed full of romantic clichés. The big one being of course the couple get together, else, the film probably would've never made it past scripting. Another "definitely saw that coming" moment was at the airport, and Messer not getting on the plane. Whilst very romantic and ideal, it still ticks all the boxes of a cliché.

Another thing was that it felt like the film ended too soon. We're signed off with confirmation that they get together and all works out, but we're left with so much to our imagination. What happens to Holly's business? Does Messer get his old job back? And the big unanswered question for me was, did they sell the house or not?!

I would highly recommend that anyone see this film, it was really really good.
