Peak january Netflix movie. The year is officially lifted.

I’ve seen so many poor movies recently and unfortunately this is one of them

This movie is so bad I'm convinced there's some money laundering happening with some of those Netflix shows and movies. This should be investigated.

I really enjoyed this movie. Easy to watch, good pace and some nice twists. Also a good cast ensemble. Worth a watch :thumbsup_tone1:.

Aside from films with awards aspirations, Netflix is simply incapable of producing good movies. 'Lift' is no different. Instead of a fun heist movie, this is nothing more than soulless 'content'. Not even a cast with some notable names and a competent director (F. Gary Gray) can change that. Leading man Kevin Hart in particular is quite a miscast. I'm generally not a big fan of his, but in 'Lift' his strengths aren't even utilized. Instead of primarily talking fast and escalating more and more, he rather sleepwalks through the movie. By the way, I was close to falling asleep for the entire running time, too. As a result, the movie fits in very well with Netflix 'gems' such as 'Red Notice', 'Heart of Stone', and 'Spenser Confidential'. If you don't remember any of these works, don't worry; no one at Netflix does either.

I think Kevin's acting is way better than his standups, but this was not it. This movie is a MEH for me nothing spacial.

No better way to start the year than an extremely mediocre netflix movie. Don't know about Lift but this movie definitely _dropped_ down to one of the worst movies I've ever watched.

There's heist movies and there are heist movies and nothing in this turd should have seen the light of day. Suspending belief is a given in these types of movies, but even Joe Biden wouldn't believe this crap.
