It's a heist movie, with all the codes of the genre and and pretty good cast. So, of course it's enjoyable.

That being said, usually these things are thought up by pretty smart people, and here most of the people involved are dumb as fuck, so not really sure how that plan came to be. It also depends on way too many human elements, not only to participate but also whose every reactions had to be anticipated as if they knew them intimately enough for that.

The redneck atmosphere is heavy, very heavy, too heavy.

As is expected in the genre, there is a final twist, ... that is stupid and totally useless.
It's extremely obvious that he didn't give back **all** the money. The exact same thing could have been done with the initial bags and not giving them all back.
It worked exactly the same, without the need for a complete secondary plan with other exit, other method of extraction, and without a fake double cross that implied the second plan was to be executed without telling the others by adding extra distractions.
Maybe the Bang bros were too stupid to be in the know ? Well there are also too stupid during the period they think there is no money or after they give it to them.
It added a lot of risks to the initial plan, plus the risks of the secondary one, also meant more people were involved. For zero benefits.
So yeah, it was really forced in there, but made zero sense.

Definitely the Game of Thrones joke was way above this movie. It feels almost wasted to have used it here.

Also aren't these little girls pageants one of the creepiest thing ever ?

I'm not the biggest fan of Daniel Craig but here is one of his more charismatic performances as "Joe". Incarcerated, he is roped into helping brothers "Jimmy" (Channing Tatum) and "Clyde" (Adam Driver) into planning and executing a daring heist at the famous Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR race. First things first, though, they have to work out a plan to get "Clyde" into jail, then to get him and "Joe" out for long enough to carry out their robbery, then get themselves back inside just in time to provide for a cast iron alibi before they are released to spend their ill-gotten millions. This is what Steven Soderbergh does well: a well written action adventure with some humour, strong characterisations and a decently paced storyline that really does pass two hours enjoyably. Tatum ditches his muscle-bound look, Driver has some fun with (and without) his war-earned prosthetics and the blonde-shorn Craig rules the roost with his most engaging role to date. It looks like it took a bit of inspiration from "11 Harrowhouse" (1974) with a soupçon of "Robin Hood" and "the Dukes of Hazard" thrown in too, making for an enjoyably lighthearted outing for all concerned.

Soderbergh is no neophyte when it comes to Heist films, and _Logan Lucky_ is arguably the best of the bunch, but it still feels lacking. Not enough to make it a bad movie, not at all, but still to the point of minor aggravation.

_Final rating:★★★ - I liked it. Would personally recommend you give it a go._
