This is the first Colombian film I’ve seen and it was not a pleasant experience. This folk horror fantasy is very overlong and profoundly boring. I couldn't get interested in the story. It's a nonsense when I think more about it. There's also this stiffness which make it difficult for me to get into. The characters are so lifeless and only speak in monotonous tones. It tries to be emotional but is simultaneously devoid of any emotion. The only thing that keeps me from turning this off is its gorgeous location and scenery. Every frame looks like painting. I wish the effort put into the writing was the same effort put into the visuals.
