Like Ikea bedsheets: comforting and tired at the same time.

We're going to be faced more and more with these movies about dementia now that boomer writers and directors have to confront the situation. This isn't the worst of the pile but it mostly hangs on the one gimmick they put on the poster. If only the rest is the film had been as symbolic, poetic and refreshing...

Special mention to Jo Deseure's stunning performance.

[AtlàntidaFF] Jo Deseure's extraordinary performance, uninhibited and generous with her character, supports a film that addresses senile dementia with a melancholic tone of humor. The low budget allows the approach to the development of the characters, from frustration to understanding. The beautiful metaphor of the flowery design in the couple's room represents the acceptance of illness as a life experience, a shared journey with the mother at a different stage of their lives.
