Move along to another film on your Netflix watchlist, because there is nothing new to see here. Despite the distinguished presence of the great Celia Imrie, this a disappointing Brit horror.

It was alright. Nothing we haven't seen before. However, I do enjoy it when horror movies involve mindf*ckery.

One thing I can't figure out though - maybe I've missed it in the beginning - is,
why did Mrs. Green invite the group over to "investigate" the house? Surely, she knowingly brought about her own downfall by doing so. Or was it supposed to be some kind of trap
?

Florence Pugh as the film's lead is great - even if she hasn't got a lot to work with. The divine Celia Imrie is typically brilliant
and it was great to see her in a role like this; I was quite shocked at how good she was at being, err, malevolent
. The music was good and the visuals were pretty solid, it's just a pity the script and plot were fairly weak. Clocking in at under 90 minutes works in its favour but sadly it's fairly underwhelming overall. Certainly not terrible to fall into "so bad it's good" territory but I fear not quite good enough to recommend - not unless you're really hardpressed for something to watch and have the time to kill. Certainly Celia Imrie has been in far better vehicles. The only real plus point for me was it introduced Pugh as someone to look out for in other films or shows.

It sadly doesn’t have high ratings, but I actually enjoyed it.

It’s not phenomenal, but it’s still a fairly decent horror with a twist to it.

Before getting in the car, why didn't Jackson call an ambulance? Or after they were in the car, Angela could have called...

Nicely executed, with enough suspense to keep watching.
I like the 1986 timeframe setting which enables props and feeling of the era.
Runtime is exactly right to tell the story.
If you like ghost stories like insidious etc. Give this one a try.

I really only watched this movie because I enjoyed watching the Black Widow movie and wanted to check out some more movies starring Florence Pugh.

It wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't entirely bad. Just predictable. The beginning started off strong with the story-telling, but as with most any ghost movie it starts to fall apart near the middle once we get to the same old typical 'tragic backstory.' The twist in this movie has been done a million times and I started getting a little bit bored.

Not even 30 minutes in but, is it just me or are all the accents weird? If this takes place in the UK, why does Florence Pugh and her brother try to sound American?

Nothing to say here expect that there's an unintentional funny scene where an old man gets knocked over by a speeding car.

I know this may sounds horrible, but trust me, in context it's funny.

I meant to write an insightful review of this ghost story but unfortunately it ended 5 minutes ago and it's so utterly forgettable that I can't seem to recall a single detail.

Still, it's always a pleasure to watch Florence Pugh perform.
