This movie could of been so much different, if it was all his imagination, and she was just a Mannequin ha I loved this film, such a lovely, and funny film, i loved the effects of her changing from mannequin to real.. I didn't like James spader part thought.. he just didn't fit that role, and G.W.Bailey playing a similar role has he does in the film Police Academy, and i loved his guard dogs names.. I wish I was born at the start of the 80's, all the good movies came out.. :P

@faithful Yeah, I would have been 7 in 1980. I remember seeing this one in the theater. The song "Nothing's gonna stop us now" became quite popular. I think the 80's came out with most of the great ideas, probably because they finally could create them.

A goofy little romantic comedy, Mannequin is an enjoyable piece of ‘80s camp. The story follows a young artist named Jonathan Switcher whose window-dressings start to revive a dying department store, but what no one knows is that he has a mannequin as his silent partner who has the ability to come to life. While the plot’s rather formulaic, the comedy’s well-written and adds a lot of character to the film. Additionally, the cast, which includes Andrew McCarthy, Kim Cattrall, and James Spader, has a lot fun with the material and it shows through in their performances. Plus, the soundtrack, which feature some great pop hits such as “In My Wildest Dreams” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now,” adds a lot of energy to the film. A charming and delightful comedy, Mannequin is lighthearted and entertaining.
