"It doesnt matter where you go, it's everywhere." Master hits all the right notes for a psychological horror about racism, it reminds me of "His House". In a word: destabilising, but that's the point, right.

[Prime Video] Although sometimes it is too obvious and sermonizing in its approaches, it manages to create moments of genuine uneasiness through actions of micro racism that show the rottenness of an elitist educational system. With a very solid direction, Mariama Diallo falters more in a script that she seems to want to talk about many things (and that has at least one subplot left over), but that addresses complex issues that would have needed more precision.

great performances and great social critic. the horror part of it felt super forced and out of place, with random jump scares here and there. still entertaining and well done.

Some of its horror elements feel half-baked but I loved everything else here! Some great performances and atmosphere. Manages to touch on pretty wide range of racial issues in America and its institutions with a lot of tact. Good stuff!
