This was a great spin-off of the Ip Man series. After Tin-Chi performed in Ip Man 3 I thought he was a great character and amazing martial artist so this spin-off film is very good. For the first 2/3 of the move you will see a lot of fighting and character development so that by the end of the film, Tin-Chi is someone you really admire. Also just look at the cast of the film! Tony Jaa has a fight scene with Zhang Jin, and also there is a scene with Zhang Jin vs Dave Bautista that rivals the scene between Donnie Yen and Mike Tyson in Ip Man 3. Michelle Yeoh has a really good fight scene and of course she's a good actor. Also the actress who plays Julia (Liu Yan) wow! she's really gorgeous in this movie. Anyway, bottom line is I think this is one of the best martial arts movies centering around the wing chun style.

Good movie, not as good as the Ip man but still enjoyable. Mostly good fights and a solid story. A few cliches here and there.

As a standalone movie - yet still completely in the transition line as the _Ip Man_ stories - I found this to be an exceptional movie. Max Zhang is VERY watchable in his role here (**NOTE** It's just a personal preference, but I highly recommend watching all these movies in their original Cantonese More

Extremely underrated addition to the IP Man series, in my opinion, this takes place after the events of Ip Man 3 and follows the character played by Zhang Jin (Cheung Tin-Chi) who was by far the best addition to the Ip Man series and he is excellent in this film which shows how the events of Ip Man More
