The fights have so many cuts that they're unwatchable, it's not possible to follow the action and it literally makes me feel ill.

There's not a clear consensus on this one by the critics and some complain about the plot, but I thought this movie was very well done. The cinematography was beautiful and the actors were great; add in an emotional story along with amazing fighting and that definitely makes it worth watching. If you liked Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, then you will like this movie.

Martial art at its finest in a story that is incredibly tragic. Beautiful picture, great costume and amazing set design make this a visually stunning film. The fights are gripping and well performed, but the long jumps could have been executed better, as the cable suspension often become obvious when actors were swinging rather than falling. I have no idea why this is so badly rated – probably because most people expect a Hollywood blockbuster.
