Crap. Watched for Luke Goss, but as is almost always the case when I do that to myself, I was not impressed at all.

A little bit of a twist for a Seagal movie but still pretty lame. So many plot holes and eyeroll-worthy moments but at least Seagal wasn't trying to be _"one da bruthas from da hood, know'm'sayyyy'n..."_ There were a few hand-to-hand fight scenes in this one but without question, this is NOT the Steven Seagal we loved in _Above the Law_ , _Hard to Kill_ or even _Under Siege_ . This is an aging Seagal who's gaining weight and slowing down (even more) so he prefers to do his "fighting" with a firearm now. (Would someone please tell me why every Steven Seagal movie has someone coming at him with a knife? So predictable...) The storyline is very convoluted and difficult to follow…and that's AFTER the first 22 minutes of the movie are nothing but gunfire, explosions, and people in uniform running around. Good luck distinguishing who's who and who's doing what, where, or why. None of it made sense. The acting wasn't as bad as it has been in some of his movies but it's still very subpar, so don't expect a lot. Like so many of his later movies, the best you can say for it is, _"It's not his worst..."_. If you like a LOT of gunfire, profanity, and explosions, you might find it tolerable to sit through. Otherwise, just move along or (even better) go back and watch his early movies. You'll thank me.
