I knew there'll be bad acting and ridiculous fighting. I watched for pure nostalgia and that what I got

I know that there is no such thing as "objective" reviews. But I have to admit that my rating for this "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" reunion special is as far from objective as it gets. The 30-year-old series was really captured perfectly here: the acting is just as lousy as it was back then, the cinematography is also atrocious, and the dialogue is way too cheesy. But that's exactly what I expect from a special like this. I was a huge fan of the Power Rangers as a kid (until "In Space"), so I'm right in the target audience for this. Everyone else will surely only shake their heads in confusion, but I even shed a tear or two during the 55 minutes, especially at the end. Only the absence of a few key characters from the program is disappointing. At the very least, Bulk and Skull should have been present. Nonetheless, "Once & Always" is a must-see for MMPR fans.

First thoughts, the girl who plays the trini quan's daughter is even more terrible at acting than the original rangers. Shocking! Didn't think that was possible. Brings back the memories tho. God, she's terrible at acting tho. It almost hurts to watch and hear her talk.

Has that cheesy "B" movie feeling. The total budget on this was probably 100k.

OMG PUT A MUZZLE ON KWAN'S DAUGHTER! SHE SUCKS ASS MAN! Hollywood just plain sucks ass at casting these days. I almost turned this off she is so dam bad.

Is it just me, or did the Pink ranger lose about 40lbs when she morphed? And where did her boobs go? The real mystery of the power rangers. Wish the actual pink ranger would have been in this!

Couldn't make it through it, Kwan's daughter was just so terrible. I really hope I never see her in anything ever again. THANKS FOR SUCKING AT CASTING HOLLYWOOD! Wouldn't have expected anything else from you these days.

***Everyone knows the only reason people are watching this is because its (mostly) the original crew. Nostalgia***

@mediacenterkodi No idea what you are talking about, Charlie Kersh did a perfect job for the limited screen time they had.
Is PR known for its amazing acting? No but compared to the Neo-Saban era she did an amazing job.

Really hope she returns for Cosmic Fury.

I'm not gonna lie, it was kinda weird watching nowadays' actors dressed as Rangers, though I should expect something like that as the characters are to be on the guard "forever".

Despite that, it was a decent experience. Is Charlie Kersh's acting bad? Perhaps. But one can't expect her to be perfect given her relatively little experience. At least we had Ron Wasserman's original music, better visual effects... and the Rangers don't bleed sparks — though I would prefer a real dressed-up actor as the Megazord instead of this cheap CGI.

Story-wise, I don't remember everything about Power Rangers nor I watched every season since 1993 (we grow up, unfortunately), but in my opinion, the plot was a big downside. Unlike Dean Israelite's 2017 movie, this one couldn't (nor shouldn't) reboot, of course, but their choice of bringing back Rita as the iconic villain on her easily forgettable form might've not been the best bet either, resulting in noticeable plot-holes.

Still, the nostalgia hits hard, making of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always" a must-watch for every now grown-up 90s kid.

Go! Go! Power Rangers!

What a piece of garbage, definitely a new low for Netflix. One thing for sure, the B feeling the tv show had when it was released, Netflix managed to preserve this feeling perfectly in 2023.

Go away. You apparently haven't watched the first power rangers show in the 90s.

You're NOT EVEN REMOTELY THE TARGET AUDIENCE.

Where to start!

The acting is terrible, but that was forgiven because it's always been poor and it added to the nostalgia. The fighting? Lazy and sloppy but see above. The new kid? the less said the better, but she tries.

This film really only exists for the people like me, the peeps who 30 years ago were pretending to be rangers in their garden with friends. It's sloppy, its badly acted, it's got terrible plot, it's missing some key characters (some for tragic reasons of course) but it will leave you smiling of those times of old.

The ending is also quite a nice nod, as expected.

Give it a go! Party watch it with those old friends and smile. It's only 50 mins long.

I've seen better acting skills from children in their first film role that from Charlie Kersh in this...lol

Loved how completely nostalgic it was! Definitely a trip down memory lane and loved the tributes to Trini and Tommy.

Nice piece of poorly done, maybe intentionally poorly done, nostalgia.
Parent warning: gay couple at the 34:20 mark. Didn't have that in the old ones.

After reading the reviews I now have a bit more sympathy towards this film. However not enough to change my review. This film struggles from the same issues as the original show except pacing is worse and so is the plot. Like who was playing the green ranger? I guess we assume Jason and Amy are the other Pink and Red rangers but that's not shown it's a guess. I wish they decided to take a more mature approach because the fans of the original show are old enough to understand what a decent plot is. I love the idea of the power rangers they just lack the maturity to make them interesting. I know, I know, it's a kids show. You could as least change things up for the 30th anniversary tribute film, right? 1/10
