This is the perfect action movie for those with adhd. The editing is so fast I don’t think there was a shot over 3 seconds the entire movie. When there isn’t any action going on you have Mark Wahlberg monologuing and cussing ever other word. Feels like it’s trying so hard to be a bro movie but it doesn’t work.

@nmahoney416 ... i agree, it's too strange to watch... at one way exciting at another way too much short action sequences which f**k your senses... nevertheless a good movie ^_^

This movie is pretty bad, that's why I gave it a (3). There's way too many action scenes, that it feels like there's no real story here. It's almost as if they cut and pasted a ton of action scenes, and worried about the dialogue and story later. There's quite a few scenes where the dialogue doesn't feel natural at all.

Overall this movie feels like a revved-up version of the (2006) film 16 Blocks, with a little bit of The Accountant (2016) mixed in. Also, the twist at the end is unnecessary, and kind of random.

Side Note: The action scenes with Iko Uwais are actually good. I wish they used him more effectively.

This was a very loud, action packed movie. I thought I would like it, but it's very fast paced and the editing is choppy and some things didn't make sense. Also, the main character is highly unlikable.

The story was decent but the movie was ruined by the extreme overuse of jump-cuts.

It's incredibly difficult to see what's happening because the screen is flashing so many images at different angles. At one point I counted 151 jump-cuts in 60 seconds and that was enough to make my eyes water.

Example of how bad it gets: https://i.imgur.com/7ckxlcZ.gifv

I usually enjoy the movies Peter Berg are involved in, but Mile 22 is not very enjoyable. There are a few hints of what I have come to expect from Berg, but mostly this one is rather bad.

The action is brutal and over the top, which in some cases work, but not when the movie in itself is so very badly edited. There are jumps and cuts all over the place...and they don't make sense. One could call these rookie mistakes, but none of the people involved are rookies.

The acting is not all that great, but what do you expect when you don't have a smidgeon of a story to work with. This is the laziest script I have ever seen. One of the few bright points in all this is Iko Uwais, I just wish they had used him better...

If you can look past the editing, you might enjoy parts of this movie, as some of the action is actually watchable, but you have to be dedicated to finish this one.

An average, high octane thriller that falls a bit short. The premise is actually quite good, however the fast pace of the filming is a heavy distraction. We have absolutely no chance to try and understand who "Overwatch" is or what they exactly do. There is no emotional connection with any of the characters, which is a shame because it makes the plot twist at the end fall flat. The action, however, is intense and gritty which is awesome. It's just a shame it was rushed into an hour and a half because honestly the same film with a bit more story could have been very good.

Violent. Gritty. Loud. Sounds great right? However, also difficult to follow the action. Shaky cam will nearly knock you off your seat. Overlapping dialogue almost makes it unintelligible. I like Peter Berg's movies and often overlook the shaky stuff, but this was a little crazy. A fight featuring Iko Uwais was not only difficult to follow with the shaky cam and extreme close-ups, they decided to intersperse it with a conversation going on with Mark Wahlberg _elsewhere in the building_! Instead of getting to see good action, you are often **imagining** it. Like ==The Bourne Identity== some people will be able to look past this aesthetic and enjoy the film. Unfortunately, I couldn't really. 5/10
