It's the Minions and it's funny. Plot-wise it's not so great.

Delightful, Funny, Cheerful

Minions Rise of Gru is a delightfully silly sequel that assures you of some visually cute and light-hearted comedy and an enjoyable trip. A fun, short, and energetic adventure that caters to young audiences and even the millennials who grew up watching the Despicable Me series and the minions. Even with a lack of any imaginative story, or any outstanding events throughout the film, the animations and screenplay does make it a compelling and hilarious fun ride. Kevin, Bob, and Stuart's Kung Fu Classes or Junior Gru's adventure to become the greatest villain of all time will make you chuckle and make your hearts full. Overall, Minions isn't perfect like its predecessors but it's no less than a sweet, charming animation that you revisit any time of the year.

Way better than the first Minions, though it is about as incoherent and all over the place. The laughs and charm make it enjoyable though.

I'm not really a Minion guy, I decided to watch it in the cinema just because it's soundtrack (special mention to "Born To Be Alive" by Jackson Wang). I'm really surprised with how much I enjoyed the movie! It's consistently funny and nails a lot of its own marks.

Plot-wise it's sorta weak, but that doesn't really make it a bad movie.

Though it is a funny movie, I don't enjoy all the crazy things like battles and transformations. I miss the original story where right next to the craziness there is a deep storyline.

The funniest and most entertaining thing that happened in the cinema wasn't the movie itself, but how an entire audience, who were mostly adults, gave this movie round of applause, with one guy saying, "that was the best movie I've ever seen".

I saw this movie in Dubai, as I was on my holiday around the time of its release. So, the trend is going international.

The film was honestly terrible and meaningless, but this time this was a minor issue.
Due to an abusive American social media campaign, plenty of middle and high school children flooded the screening (on the first day) only to make noise and behaving unruly with the audience, according to the cinema staff copying some viral videos. This forced the staff to interrupt the projection and recall those children to order, which was more or less maintained thereafter, if not near the end where those children climbed below the screen to take a picture.
I am speechless not much for the potentially ruined experience (the film was not good overall), but for a behavior which I consider abusive and unacceptable for people who are to become member of the society, and that continuing to behave like this will see their professional career hampered and even worse the potential to go under criminal judgement.
It may happen elsewhere and for other films, therefore it is important to report this situation in order to allow the cinema staff, educators and parents to act hard and fast to repress these behaviors.

All-round good film. It was funny and extremely well animated, plus Wild Knuckles was a good character. 7.0/10.

Wasn't going to watch it after reading all the negativity... so glad I did.
It's typical minions silliness and that's all you can hope for nowadays.

Finally a film in the 21st century without all that 'woke' bullshit we have to suffer so everyone 'feels' included.

A little cringe in the meantime, the police have no interest in watching TV and seeing the criminal channel through which young people are brainwashed. This movie left me with three brain cells, but I enjoyed it.

Liked the villains and the 70's vibe. Made me laugh a little but the plot is lacking. Also we get Michelle Yeoh doing Kung Fu again and those googly eyes were clearly a reference to *Everything Everywhere All At Once*.

This movie is about a 7 but what brings it to a 10 is the experience of watching it in theaters. Watch it with as many people as possible.
