Anyone who knows something about hockey knows about the Miracle on Ice. It was a huge thing back then. So naturally they make a movie about it.

This one came early after the actual event. It is a bit long, you could cut it in half and almost have two movies. The first dealing with how the team was built and what the problems were leading up to the actual games. This is the rather boring part and I´ll admit I was wondering if this would be a hockey movie without any hockey in it. But the second part showing the games (of course only in parts) is why you would want to watch this. They used the original footage and commentary and incorporated the actors into that. The next best thing would be watching a video of the game itself.

Keep in mind that this is an early 80s made for TV movie when it comes to quality of the production. And it is a dramatization not a documentary.
