First off, the quality over the series is immensely better which I've seen tonnes of times with the kids, they commented throughout how realistic some things looked and how much better the animation and characters look.

- the change in the faces (possibly because they're supposed to be younger) from the series and other movies .... actually No. their eyes, what did they do to their eyes?

If it had only had something like Marianette telling the story bookends it wouldn't be such a jarring transition.. or just use the normal character designs.

So FanFiction is a movie genere now. Interesting.

So, as it always is in fanfics, plot and character traits are highly altered to create a romantic happy ending. It all is at the expense of plot and characters development. But if you are here for happy ending, it's for you.

I personally don't like musicals, time of all this songs could have been used to show characters' and relations' development that was kinda speedrunned here.

I love the sense of humor and animation though.

PS. I really do have a feeling some scenes are a crossover with Star Wars

I tried the series but after 2 episodes there was no hook for me, so, I decided to try the movie instead. I’m not sure what wasn’t working for me. The animation is good. The action sequences were good. I usually like musicals but the lyrics were poorly written and didn’t match the action. And the vocal for Marinette/Lady Bug’s songs were strong but they didn’t match her speaking voice. The story telling was uneven and random in parts. There didn’t seem to be a cohesive arc. In short, everything felt a little off for me. I give this film a 6 (fair) out of 10. [Animated Superhero Fantasy].

classic story of good and evil and all in between.

As someone who has watched the animated series for over seven years, I can say that I liked it. Obviously, the animation was absolutely flawless, I marveled a bunch of times when I saw the driving lights, colors and the entire visual field. I feel the story behind it as if it were a fanfic where they summarize the 5 seasons of the series and show us the most essential, perhaps also giving pleasure to the people who for years waited for the great reveal of their identities. I didn't dislike that, I managed to enjoy it. Obviously there are different things but I suppose they did it to shorten the story and that this one made sense. It definitely does not replace the series, they are different experiences but equally enjoyable. God, that final scene between them, their chemistry, the music... I fell deeply in love

My Two Daughters like this show. So when they found out they made a movie they was so happy. The animation was really good. The only thing they didn’t like was the singing, not always they liked it. But at the end of it they really enjoyed the movie, so that’s what counts.
