Not a single person in this movie behaved like a person would if such thing happened in real life.

Fairly enjoyable but the script needed work to make it a better movie.

I liked it and I don´t think it´s an unbelievable script. On the contrary I wonder why a thing like this hasn´t occurred already. Maybe the movie does exaggerate a bit, that is what movies do. But in general it paints a picture of how the money-world works and how, frightingly, in the end nobody really cares.

The story is about a Wall Street guru who talks about his stock market predictions. So far so good, however, in my opinion, the climax of the movie comes too soon. We are put in tension very soon and it is impossible to keep us in that state throughout the film. Because of this, much of the film consists of a tedious back-and-forth between Lee Gates and Kyle Budwell. It was obvious that George Clooney's character was not going to die. On the other hand, without being a bomb expert myself, it seems to me that a frequency jammer could disable the bomb and end the film after ten minutes.

Oh, and apart from this, at the end, when they start interrogating Walty Camby, the IBIS director, you can see several continuity errors in Kyle's gun.

The promise of this movie is a classic hostage thriller, and I think it delivers. It actually doesn't feel like a 2016 movie I think, I don't mean this in a bad way, but it just feels like a classic 90s or 00s thriller movie (prob more in the good way)

It is directed by Jodie Foster, who played in movies like Panic Room.

While is not acting in this movie, I think the overall feeling is pretty similar.

There might be some small logical holes, but overall, I pretty much enjoyed this.

It's okay. It's average on all fronts. Plot (predictable), script (adequate), direction (fine), pacing (not too fussy).

We have a basic plot designed to draw hatred to a financial system not designed for their everyday activity. But not quite the news personalities that ask normal people to 1) invest in single stocks and 2) churn those investments faster than chips at a casino.

It's heavy handed in a silly way. The plot is extremely transparent. A little Stockholm Syndrome and all the "good guys" live.

It could have been something more than just a TV movie quality exercise.

Definitely was not an original story. In fact, I'm fairly certain this story was on Law and Order about 10'years ago. And Flashpoint. And and and .... It seems like there's a bit too much star power for such a meh premise. That said it was okay. Not bad. Not great.
