Easily the worst comicbook film since _Hellboy_ (2019), but I doubt that’s to many people’s surprise.
It’s produced by Avi Arad and written by the guys who did _Power Rangers, Gods of Egypt_ and _The Last Witch Hunter_.
Its director has never made anything noteworthy, and the lead is an overrated, pretentious hack whose performances have derailed many films over the past ten years.
It’s exactly what you think it’s going to be: dated, nonsensical, overblown and dumb.
It’s nothing more than a quick cash in by a studio who thinks they can sell anything for as long as you slap Marvel’s name in front of it.
And they’re probably right, so who can blame them for making it?

I morbed so hard to this, cinema has peaked

I just came from watching Morbius, I’m glad I stayed away from spoilers and from negative publicity the movie is getting. I really enjoyed the movie for what it is: an origin story, some character development, and some cool action scenes. I think this movie had its odds stacked against it from the very beginning, with the biggest problem was being caught with delays due to the pandemic. I encourage people to give it a chance, watch the movie, enjoy it, there are little things here and there that makes it interesting and revealing with possible future connection to other characters or superheroes.

Did I miss something here? Wasn't his friend rich as fuck? Are you telling me they couldn't find a way to trade money for blood? Come on.

Well this was awesome movie, awesome acting of Jared Leto as Morbius (marvel legend). Ive already been like 40 times in cinema best movie ive ever seen, Morbius (he is not Venom) is first film to sell morbilion tickets.

Honestly I don't get the hate towards Morbius. I enjoyed the movie a lot. I don't know anything from the comics but I was sure entertained. Way better than what I've been seeing lately. Loved Jared Leto and Matt Smith they both were amazing. Sure hope for a team up from Morbius, Vulture and Venom haha that would be awesome. Make it happen Sony and Marvel

Like when someone says, "Ugh, taste this," and you do but it's good.

I don't get all the hate for this film. Honestly, I don't. The story is a little weak, but visually and aurally Morbius is a non-stop river of images and sound. I enjoyed myself more than with many Marvel films (like Venom 1 & 2, and either Wasp Man) and if you don't have too many preconceptions, you will too.

An enjoyable movie with a great cast; Jared Leto was amazing as Michael Morbius and I loved his dry wit so much :clap_tone1:  LOVED Adria and was surprised by how much I liked Matt Smith’s performance as his was the one I was unsure of. 

Also Jared Leto is :type_1_2: and that boy is definitely drinking the blue and/or red to be looking at 50 :fire:

Feels like a television drama that’s on its 19th season - devoid of originality, life and good acting. Morbius suffers from the “let’s tell you what’s going on via dialogue instead of showing you like a normal movie”. I walked out 30 minutes in because I’d rather be home watching literally anything else.

On the surface a relatively dull film, with a standard and non-original plot and mediocre acting. Could be enough to spend less than 2 hours resting in front of the screen.
Looking more in depth, the plot and the (lack of) credible explanation of many passages make the overall results worse than it seem. But the worst aspect is the actual setting and excessive CGI usage. Plenty of scenes are actually shot in London (!), and the scene in the London tube disguised as the New York subway (!!) is particularly representative of all the weaknesses of what should have been an high-budget film.

Idk why people hating on it so much, its way better than venom. ‍♂ 7.5/10 not the best but a good watch :ok_hand:

The biggest sin of all, this movie is just boring. There are plenty of movies that make less sense, have worse acting, or have less fleshed out characters, but, most of the time, they justify their existence on some level. This movie brings nothing to the table, and leaves us all with less than we came into the theater with. It's uninspired rambling that follows a chronological timeline, but doesn't really tell much of a story or entertain you. Unless you're just really into smoke effects.

It felt like a made for YouTube fan project that was just there to demo VFX skills rather than storytelling. But at least those often demonstrate a love for the source material. A sharp contrast to Venom, an arguably bad film but that was clearly loved by the people making it, this felt like everyone was there to cash a check and showed little reverence to the film itself and even less to the audience.

Normally, I try to fix a film like this by saying what could have been done right. I can't do that here. There's nothing to save. Utter garbage.

Sure everyone has their kinks and some people like to be dominated. Me? I’ve seen Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage and now Morbius all in the movie theater. So I know a thing or two about being a little, dirty submissive. Feed me more daddy Sony
