_Target Number One_ is a captivating film based on a true story. The film raises important questions about justice, corruption, and the power of the media. While I wasn't familiar with the true story before watching the movie, I still found it to be a compelling watch. The acting is solid, with standout performances by Josh Hartnett and Stephen McHattie. However, since I wasn't sure how much of the story was true, I couldn't fully trust the accuracy of the film's portrayal. Despite this, _Target Number One_ is a well-made movie that will keep you engaged throughout.

Adding this film to my queue mostly on the strength of it being a "true story" and also from a couple of reviews on this page.

However, I'm adding a comment for the reason of Jim Gaffigan looking amazing in this film (preview)! All throughout Covid years Jim's weak comedy whining away at being cooped up with his HUGE (read Catholic) family and long suffering wife—who got terribly sick with a brain tumor but is ok—I've never heard him mention or promote this film. Gaffigan seems to do a good job at playing the villain and I'm looking forward to a deeper sense of the performer.

The main character is terrific... the narrative has defectives but still good.

An efficient but unremarkable telling of a true story. Antoine is a terrific actor - check him out in Mommy - and he is the best thing about this film. It's just a shame that the narrative lets him down.
