I kind of agree with the comments above.
I disliked almost everyone: Michael is a terrible person and a bad casting choice, Kimmy is under his complete control, and Jules is just a bad person too, but a better casting choice. Infact i'ts impossible not to love Julia Roberts.
What saves the movie is one of the best scene of movies history where they sing I say a little preyer, and Julia herself. I also liked the ending which I didn't remeber at all, but for once I thought the characters were kinda compatible, only if the male actor wasn't portraited as abusive and sort of crazy.

Wow, the nineties were crazy. I don't understand how any of those two women would want to marry Michael. I couldn't help myself from feeling sorry for Kim the whole movie. How could anyone forgive Julianne at the end of the film? This movie is insane.

I cannot believe that I hadn’t watched this movie before. It was alright. Not amazing but okey. A bit of a weird plot at times. I did like the ending though.

Generally I am not a fan of romcoms and Julia Roberts, but for whatever reason, I have always had a soft spot for this movie. Maybe because there is no happily ever after for the main character, despite what the usual tropes demand. But watching it again after some years, I did find a couple of gag-inducing red flags. While Jules is obviously a bad person, I think Michael is even worse. What is up with all those mixed massages and treating Kimmy like a third wheel? Maybe J+M should have been the ending. They truly deserve each other.

It is so satisfying to see the typical rom-com heroine try to break up a marriage and utterly fail and be embarrassed as hell. a good life lesson for people who can’t tell the difference between real life and fiction.

Yup. Jules and Michael should've been together. They're both bad people. Kimmy's too perfect for Mike. And George was too good to stay around Jules. Enjoyed the film nonetheless because of certain scenes.

Julia Roberts stars in the delightfully charming romantic comedy My Best Friend’s Wedding. When Julianne’s best friend tells her that he’s getting married she panics, not wanting to lose him, and sets about derailing his impending wedding. Roberts is in top form, delivering a wonderful performance, and is back by a solid supporting cast that includes Dermot Mulroney, Cameron Diaz and Rupert Everett. And the humor, though a bit edgy at times (at least for the ‘90s), is a lot of fun with Julianne getting into some hilarious situations in her attempts to sabotage the wedding. My Best Friend's Wedding is full of laughs and has a nice message about love and friendship.

>"This is my one chance at happiness. I have to be ruthless!"

And ruthless she was! It is odd because I feel like this is one of my favorite Julia Robert's performances, but her character is so bad (in the sense that she is almost evil). I found myself wanting her not to have anything go her way at all, but I guess that was the point of the movie. Has a lovely 90's feel to it, and Rupert Everett is definitely the MVP! I need more of his character.
