Straight out of the CW network abandoned scripts and ready for a 3D release in theaters, this one's a remake from the 1981 original which I haven't seen yet. The kills look fake but there's a certain 2000s quality to them, they're very over-the-top and clearly the main reason why this was made. The story is predictable, the acting is atrocious, it feels overlong, the characters are absent of any charisma or personnality and worst of all is the decision making from said characters. So i'm left hoping this is a "so bad it's good" type of movie except, no it's not!

While **My Bloody Valentine** certainly delivers on the blood it doesn't give you any chocolates, i'll look for a better valentine next time!

Great movie to watch on Valentine's Day.
It's not the best movie ever made, but since I'm single, I have the tradition to watch it by myself. It distracts me from being alone and it has Jensen Ackles.

A remake of the ‘80s cult slasher, _My Bloody Valentine 3D_ is a schlocky exploitation film. The survivor of a Valentine’s Day massacre in a small mining town returns after ten years to sell his family’s share of the mine and becomes a suspect in a series of grizzly murders. Starring Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, Kerr Smith, and Tom Atkins, the film has a pretty good cast. And, there are some exciting chases and fight scenes, and a foreboding atmosphere. However, the plot is rather formulaic and predictable (particularly the killer), and the 3D effects are cheesy as all get-out. Yet despite its problems, _My Bloody Valentine 3D_ kind of works in a strange grindhouse, B-movie sort of way.

Was disappointing. Had the production value of a big-budget television movie, but somehow, this was released in theaters, during the 3-D gimmick era of 2009. Only saving grace are the deaths, but you get the same creative shit from the Friday the 13th series. Just don't bother.

Some kills can be cheesy since the film was 3-D in the theater. So you some body parts flying towards the screen in a couple of scenes. The acting isn’t always great either.
With that said it’s a pretty decent Horror remake.
