"She went to sleep a secretary and woke-up a mad man's bride!" Equal parts Gaslight and Gothic hostage tale, My Name Is Julia Ross became the B-picture that could. Shot in slightly more than 10 days for $75,000 and featuring a remarkable cast, the film follows Foch as she struggles first to maintain her identity against the machinations of Whitty and Macready and then as she fights for her life. The story is engaging, the dialogue is intelligent, and the composition is tight: definitely worth seeing.
