When Herra, a young Czech woman, falls in love with Nazir, an Afghan, she has no idea what kind of life awaits her in post-Taliban Afghanistan, nor of the family she is about to integrate into. Who knew that women don't have as many rights in Afghanistan as they do in Europe? Everyone except this woman, I guess. My Sunny Maad is the true story of A Czech woman who marries an Afghani man and moves to Kabul where everything is exactly what you'd think it'd be. This rides on the coattails of Persepolis, but those coattails aren't that big.
