Gino is a drifter, down-at-heel and magnetically handsome. At a road side restaurant he encounters husband and wife, Joseph and Hanna. Irresistibly attracted to each other, Gino and Hanna begin a fiery affair and plot to murder her husband. But, in this chilling tale of passion and destruction, the crime only serves to tear them apart.

I was wary about this play, having seen how the director, Ivo van Hove, minimalized, ripped it out of it's context, and, I believe ruined the production of "_Hedda Gabler_". I should have followed my instincts and avoided this new production. The story had been deconstructed to the point that it had no anchor. The passionate emotion had no arch, the characters were stripped of personality, and the play laboured to a senseless, tortured, finale that had become tedious for the audience. The set was a disaster of minimalism, that arbitrarily offends the senses. Once again, good actors were forced to work within chaotic direction, and, were wasted on this piece. I give it a 3 (bad) out of 10.

Awful. Boring, too sentimental and very protracted. He ruined "Hedda Gabler" and now this. Poor actors(
