An absolutely stellar performance from Sean Patrick Flanery. Terrifyingly good, literally.

That was unexpectedly good, acting was good. The story kept me wanting to watch and see how it would end. There aren't that much movies in this genre nowadays.

So I’ll just get straight to the point, if you think entertainment is being ruined by PC culture, cancel culture, and wokeness, than this is the movie for you. If you love all your movies to be filled and saturated with cultural and political messages, than you’ll hate this movie.

Now that we are passed that, this movie had really great acting, and I think it had a really good script. Most of the movie is driven by dialogue that sucks the viewer in. It also has a strong punch to it, that makes you really think about your own actions, the life we are living on a daily basis.

@dnb_tim Because it's aligned with your political believes you mean? Abortion = murder is a big one in this movie & it literally talked about current political issues ... + religion (witch is technically a cultural thing).

Deceptive, boring, long, preachy, poorly acted. Not a fan of this. I believe it has high ranking because of the non-movie people who think the "message" in the film is helping their God somehow.

@isildursbane Don't really know how this is preachy tho, it's just fiction lol.<br /> It brings up some points and critiques about our current system but doesn't really preach what should be done but just states them as being problems, which most we know are problems (or at least some know but informing is something completely different then preaching).<br /> + It only shows christianity how it originally started out, fiction.<br /> + "far right", why that? Because of the abortion = murder thing, that's because of christianity aswell, kinda weird that a demon would call it murder tho, probably meant "according to 'Him'". It also pointed out that slavery is still active, but in the form of legal extortion lol, which opposes the far right and embraces socialist idea's.

Wow, totally unexpected great movie, I was so surprised at how good the story moved along,.keeping my ADHD at bay. the music score made the movie seem low budget, other than that I like it, 9/10 one point deducted because of the background music.

Sean Patrick Flanery deserves an Oscar for his performance. I can not say the same for the rest of the cast.

This was "The Screwtape Letters" meets "Silence of the Lambs" where the only scares to be had are for those of us who are already believers.

An intriguing premise that requires a great script and great acting. This one almost pulls both off.

This film is a cautionary tale about man’s hubris. All these non-believers leaving comments dismissing it as preachy or whatever simply prove the validity of its message.

Imagine thinking you, as a mere human, are smart enough to recognize whether or not there’s demonic activity around you, let alone strong enough to resist it on your own (if you’re even willing to acknowledge it all around you). Go ahead, retreat into denial and snark — it’s exactly what satan wants of you.

This was quite a deceptive movie! Not as horror as expected and much more of a thinking movie! It really wants you to question the reality of the movie and where it is going to lead you, yet it also wants to consider your reality. It’s not going to be for everyone, and will surely come off a bit preachy at points…but that’s the point! It wants everyone to question everything they believe. Personally, I enjoyed a movie that could keep me thinking afterwards! The lead here deserves an Oscar for how well he played the split personalities!

Rating: 4/5 - 8.5/10 - Would Recommend

@copeland1994 I wouldn't say it was deceptive as there are different sub-genres of horror. This one chose not to confront us with evil that harms the body; but the kind that damns the soul and how social organization can serve to either exacerbate or ease the difficulty of dealing with such kinds of evil.

It was worth a watch, got a bit tired of his upper and lower lip pouting and didn't like the suffering of his poor victim, the moment he invited him in was key of course. Tiiiime is on my sideee, yes it is.

@mattitch I had no idea there was a book, but now I _need_ to read it. I loved this movie and the acting.
