Well, I compleatly enjoyed the movie. I like the music in the movie, it fits in perfectly. The screenplay was nice and acting was good, but the ending for me felt rushed. It feels like they could have made it better, but I still liked it! But I don't know how the book is, so can't say how different the book and the movie is. Maybe I should read the book!
And what is it with movies and trailers lately. In the trailer when Vee goes to the cop car, the police officer know her name and seems to be "part of the game". But it was not like that in the movie. And when i first saw the trailer, that part made the movie seem "better?". But well, I guess the trailers now days lie about the movies ;) *cough* *cough* _suicide squad_
@donxy Definitely agree on the music. The song selection did a great job tieing the intensity, lighthearted and emotional parts of the film together.

Nice to see Emma Roberts play an innocent girl for once. She proves that she can do more than just play a bitch, like in Scream 4, American Horror Story and Scream Queens. Despite being 25. She's like Britt Robertson where she can play a teen still. Plus Dave Franco plays a cool kid for once and pulls it off.
Nerve isn't great but it's likeable due to the leads. The story is decent too if you like a cutsie teen version of the movie the Game.

Better than expected and if it hadn't been for the moral lesson that got thrown in our face in the end it would've gotten a higher grade.

I agree with Barbie Klaus... I watched this not long after coming out and was expecting something treacherous. Ok maybe not that bad bc it does have Emma and Dave.. and MGK?? Anyway if you haven't yet taken the time out to watch this film it is worth the view and even not too far out of reach when you need something on but just for substance.

I read the Book this story based on and thought "Why isn't there a movie of that yet?" and 1 or 2 years later Nerve came up. I was instantly hyped and watched it in the cinema. I have to say I really get goosebumps at some parts of the movie. They changed the challenges and some backgroujd Informations but of course the story had the same orientation. As I said I really liked the movie. But the ending in the book was way better in my opinion. In the movie it kinda is pretty boring and disappointed, at least a little bit. Still recommend it, but you should read the book before ;)

In itself, this film is great, however,
watching the trailers destroys this film, as they literally show the ending... I don't know who thought it wouldn't spoil anything, but okay...
It fits the scene of today, looking forwards to possibilities of smartphones and literally integrate them into our daily life.
There are, however, things that bother me at this movie, which is primarily caused by inadequate acting and lacking the ability to truly make an ending to this all
(the ending is quick and rather dull when I am honest...)
Emma Roberts and Dave Franco star in the intense techno-thriller Nerve. Tired of being teased for being shy and reserved, high school senior Vee Delmonico enters an underground online competition where she must complete a series of challenges to earn money and gain followers; but she soon ends up on a destructive path and discovers that the game can just as easily bankrupt and destroy her. Roberts and Franco are both extremely charismatic and have good chemistry together. And the challenges are rather daring and full of danger. But the plot is pretty formulaic and falls apart at the end when it gets preachy and tries to work in a moral about social responsibility and violence. Yet while it’s kind of a stereotypical thriller, Nerve’s strong cast and directing elevates it, making it incredibly exciting.
