This is not the Bob Odenkirk we've come to expect! While it's great to see him kick some ass, the film feels a bit odd. As with any hard-nosed action film, there's not much character development, but in this film it doesn't really work. Odenkirk is brilliant in _Breaking Bad_, _Better Call Saul_ and even _Fargo_ because of his character's complex moral code and overall character development. Too much, from almost all of the characters, goes unsaid here. But the whole film feels as if it's missing an extra half hour of backstory.

@bondless I think that's the point. His file is redacted, so we're not supposed to know anything. The whole movie is supposed to make you feel like everyone around him; "who the heck is this guy?!"

@bondless I agree. The character's motivation and emotions are disconcerting. There are some genuinely good action scenes, but the filmography and dialogue felt amateur and sometimes pretentious. This would have done much better as a series.

@bondless Agreed. While I enjoyed it and chuckled a few times, I realised the morning after I should have been thinking of it as a comic/graphic novel to remove the oddness.

For an action flick, it's incredibly boring. I like Bob Odenkirk but lifeless characters, poor script, and the annoying slow mo on every action sequence. The story is pointless. There are some good moments but overall it's disappointing.

@csrz . You must have been watching another movie. What you just described wasn't the movie Nobody. That movie was great.

It’s John Wick, but with better acting.
The movie is carried entirely by Odenkirk and the action, if that’s enough for you, watch it.
As for myself, I can firmly say that that isn’t my bar.
If you cannot give me at least an engaging character, or somewhat of a story that isn’t entirely by the books, chances are I’m gonna be bored for the majority of the film.
Also, like John Wick, I’m sick of these movies being so insistent on being serious tough guy movies.
Conceptually, there’s nothing wrong with it, but if you want to be that kind of movie, you have to put in the work intellectually when you’re writing the script (look no further than the Bourne movies, or Casino Royale).
Derek Kolstad just doesn’t seem to be able to do that, everything that happens in his scripts always feels extremely theatrical and unrealistic (which also tanked his FatWS episodes).
Either go the Marvel route and throw in some more corny jokes, so that I care less about the logic, or write tighter screenplays.

4/10

It is a fine entertaining action movie. I enjoyed it very much. I do not care if it is somewhat similar to the Wick movie. It is good and recommended to the action lovers. Also it is nice to see old friend Doctor Emmet Brown in action...8/10

Watching Bob Odenkirk kill some bad guys and Christopher Lloyd use a shotgun was pretty fun. The plot could’ve used a little polishing but if you are wanting to see more John Wick style movies, look no further.

I thought this was an awesome film without the usual Hollywood PC inflicted script writing. A down and dirty no frills, right to the point right vs. wrong film. Really refreshing and a fun romp where good triumphs. Not complicated, not over directed, not CGI'd to death. Especially liked the fact that he isn't invincible just dedicated to his family and justice.

Genuinely enjoyed watching this. Sometimes 'entertaining' is all a movie needs to be.

Honestly better, and more fun, than John Wick 2 or 3.

@maghook true. I'll still watch the next Wick but it's damn repetitive.

Like a more light hearted John Wick, that ends with an adult version of Home Alone.

Saul Goodman got buffed up! :muscle_tone1:
It’s a good movie and it’s action packed. There’s a little delving into the character’s backgrounds, but not a great deal. The fight scenes are well choreographed and there’s just enough humour to make you chuckle from time to time.
All in all, if you’re after an action movie, this is a good one to consider!

Only the bus scene is memorable. The rest is all generic. Having said that, the 90 minutes fly by and it's entertaining to some degree.

Bob Odenkirk gets his John Wick moment (albeit lesser stakes) and it's pretty frigging awesome. The most fun film I've seen in a while. Also the best movie that Christopher Lloyd's been in in ages

Watched it this afternoon and enjoyed it. To me, it felt like a lighter version of John Wick. Since this was the first time I've been to the theater in a while it was refreshing to get a bit of over the top action and comedy rolled in one film.

Felt like something was missing. Maybe it was trying too much to be like John Wick or a Bruce Willis film. Either way, it was marginally enjoyable, with neither enough pure action or character chemistry to be entertaining on its own
