Basically a modern update of John Carpenter, I could see this working for fans of his. I found the end result quite empty and hollow, very underwritten and not all that engaging because it's lacking in emotion, substance and character. Long stretches of it feel indulgent (the first 40 minutes in particular), with the film assuming that the directing and vibe are enough to carry it, but it's just not on that level technically. The second half becomes marginally more interesting, but it's still frustrating that you're barely getting a sense of the more interesting movie happening outside of the store. Instead, you're stuck with these characters in a warehouse, and they become more and more grating as the film continues. 4/10
