[Sheffield/Doc '22] There are some problems in the documentary, but it offers an accurate portrait of the activism and rebellion of a singer marked by domestic abuse and disappointment with Catholicism. More focused on the controversial aspects than on the music itself, it draws a clever parallel between personal experience and the religious oppression of a country, which in the end enriches the film.

Interesting look at 80s Ireland. Always loved the SNL appearance but didn't know about the followup at MSG.

I have been incredibly impressed by this documentary and by this courageous woman. The misery she has been through is enormous. From the abuse as a child, the hatred of the media, public, and even fellow artists, to the death of her son last year. I have nothing but respect for Sinead O'Connor. This documentary lets her tell her story herself and the people close to her. Impressive. 10/10 score from me.
