More style over substance - a bit like magic itself - but still a very enjoyable watch even if it doesn't always make much sense.

i didnt like it much more than first movie. this one has so much conversations. boring, long and boring again. and we can guess what happens next.

Exactly the same movie as the first one except lackluster execution, cringeworthy humor, less flair, and a shameless flirt with the Chinese market.

It's not BAD bad...just very much WORSE than the first one. When you use the very same formula as the first movie. This tends to happen...

If you liked the first one...give it a try. If not...stay away.

The first movies is a good movie. This is just stupid. Too predictable and moronic. Everything works in the horsemen's favour. Every character from the last movie have become more 2d in this one.

A pointless, slapdash sequel, Now You See Me 2 is mildly entertaining but doesn’t have much up its sleeve. The Horsemen come out of hiding to expose a software scheme but end up getting outed to the FBI and are forced to take a job to steal a computer card for a rich foreign businessman in exchange for his protection. Most of the original cast returns (with the notable exception of Isla Fisher), and are joined by Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Radcliffe. But the performances are rather weak, and the plot is idiotic. The writers go to extreme lengths to develop plot threads that connect back to the first film and expand on the mythology of The Eye and Lionel Shrike, but none of it works. And the magic acts are pretty lackluster. Still, Now You See Me 2 has enough showmanship and intrigue to create a little bit of fun and excitement.

I enjoyed the first movie, but I felt like this one lacked all the surprise and magic of the first one. Yes, there were some magic tricks but it just didnt have the same build and suspense as the first one. Add in that they randomly replaced one of the characters and it just lacked the excitement that I was hoping for.

Had huge potential but the delivery was not what I expected. Feels hollow and forced.

Way too much fake drama, cringe-inducing speeches and forced plot twists. I just couldn't stop rolling my eyes for the whole second half of the film. Which is a shame, because I remember liking the first movie.

Just forget that this exists. There is only one now you see me movie. Ruined the whole vibe from the first one.

Obviously not as good as the first one, but that’s to be expected of many movie series. Still a great movie though. Full of great camerawork, cinematography and, of course, magic!
Shame the had to just throw a new generic female lead into the cast, but I guess that’s what happens when actresses want babies lol.
Daniel Radcliffe was makes for a terrible villain - I just can’t see him as anyone other than Harry Potter, but he nevertheless acted the part reasonably.
A good watch overall.
