"Au revoir, fucker!"

I totally forgot how "serious" Nowhere to Run tries to be but it is still a fun van Damme flick. This time around he tries to show us his acting bone. Being so serious, no amazing kicks and no split however he does peak on a lady getting naked and ready to take a shower. We even get a little girl telling her mum that the Muscles from Brussels has a huge dong. Still can't believe that really happened. And let us not forget about the other Culkin who instead of laying traps for the bad guys, just lures him to a horse to get kicked in the head.

Anyway Nowhere to Run is less silly van Damme flick that tries to hard to be really serious but it is entertaining. You get a great motorcycle chase, you get van Damme telling everyone he's from Quebec, we are getting emotional moments, we are getting great funny lines and we have the beautiful Rosanna Arquette as van Damme's love interest and I'm happy she didn't lose her house.

Shows that there can be so much greatness still inside those who’ve done bad. Not often the case, but it is here with Van Damme kicking ass in style and putting on a heartfelt performance. I would like to see more of his films after watching this.
