Not the best/original movie but it's a good looking scifi

I really enjoyed it.
Visuals were stunning, futuristic designs were really cool, the drones were f***ing awesome and the twist was unexpected. Well, for me..

The story kinda lingers at the end but basically t'was awesome.

Thought-provoking sci-fi. I try not to compare movies, even if there are similarities. Unless it's a total rip-off, I judge them as individual pieces of work.

And this one shines. I left the theater not knowing what to think, and that's a feeling I rarely get, but always ends well for the movie.

This was an interesting and good movie, but it could have been a masterpiece.

The thing that kept it from becoming that was mainly the story line and build up.
The biggest plot twist (and imho the biggest climax of the movie) happens way too early, and it makes the endgame feel like an outro rather than the moment you have been waiting for the whole movie.
From the moment the big plot twist is revealed, the movie gets very predictable.

The acting, setting, visuals, potential, music are all pretty much top notch, but in the end it was the writing that will probably put this movie in 'Oblivion' itself.

MUSIC! Incredible. The entire implementation excellent. But the scenario is a little wobbly foundations, the tip can save it, but it had to be a typical Hollywood ending.

Unexpected, but too little about the other humans and too much about Jack. It could have been a lot cooler with civilization and the struggle of humanity after the apocalypse.

I avoided this movie for quite some time, mainly because I’m not a big fan of Tom Cruise (I resent his support for Scientology), but the movie is worthwhile. There are some loose ends in the story, but it is overall convincing. The turn-around in the story line is credible (and good!). Andrea Riseborough’s acting is so good that it gives you a foreboding feeling from the beginning, even if her text is perfectly neutral. I liked that a lot! And there are more surprises in the story. The ending is not totally convincing, but can be forgiven. Landscape views and soundtrack are very impressive. It’s definitely a big-screen movie!

Tom Cruise plays the last man on Earth, a high-tech janitor of sorts who's left to mind the planet's robotic chaperones while the rest of the species lives it up on one of Saturn's moons.

It's slow, predictable and riddled with holes, but the production's array of slick, attractive future tech and constant visual revelations make for excellent diversions. Cruise's sleekly designed equipment is a real science fiction goldmine, visionary in the same sense as Minority Report's giant touch-screen UIs, and the first hour is an outstanding lesson in world-building. The plot eventually falls into too many Cruise / mainstream Hollywood pitfalls, though, and borrows too liberally from other films. Duncan Jones's excellent Moon, in particular, is robbed of all but its subtlety, performances and locale. Still, such faults are hardly surprising by this point and if you were anticipating something more... well, maybe an adjustment in expectations is in order. Perfectly acceptable as a conceptual exercise, but make sure you swallow that grain of salt before viewing.

Plot wasn't sophisticated, probably described as feel good, but frankly, it was perfect. I left a 2 hour film and wasn't bored for a second.
