Plays like an abbreviated TV series, and a cliched and generic one at that. WIth a bad script, wooden acting, and a heavy handed approach, this isn't worth the time of even the most die hard genre fan.

It does not start badly, but then it's like the series Falling Skies, in the end it improves, although the aliens are a bit crappy. Australia copying to USA in all the topics of the movies

This Australian made for TV remake of Red Dawn with aliens instead of Russians has a surprisingly high production value with surprisingly poor melodrama.

I need to review it, because after Gemini Man, I was exhausted. I ended up "blacking out" from sleep on several stretches. Then I found out that there is a sequel! My God!

This was so bad. I watched it to punish myself.

Occupation would have been a much better TV-series than it is a movie. That would have left time to get to know the characters properly, to get to explore the side stories just hinted on, and to work a little more on the script.

But what we got...was a movie. A movie that could have been great, but ended up being less than it could have been.

The actors did ok with the material they got, but the story is weirdly paced, and the lines, especially in the "heroic" or "tender" parts, are rather cringy.

The movie looks and sounds good. Especially considering it's a low budget outing.

Occupation works in a low budget TV-movie sort of a way, but sadly it didn't live up to it's potential.

I did, however, like parts of it. Especially some of the action scenes.

I'll give the guys behind the kudos for the attempt, and hope their next outing will improve on this.

Recommend giving it a shot if you find it on TV.

Not a bad alien invasion movie. Just nothing new. Tired plot and massive cheesiness. Avoid unless you’re tired of looking for something else.

Such a week and terrible start that doesn't even understand the subtlety of foreshadowing. Five minutes in and I was done with it.
